Today I’m joining Lisa-Jo over at her site to take five minutes and just write without worrying if it’s just right or not. The challenge is to write for 5 minutes flat with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing, with the prompt she gives. And today, her prompt:
Grateful….
GO!
Grateful for my hard-working husband and his smartness beyond mine. Grateful for each of my children and their bodies cradled in mine. Grateful for the sunshine, and the birds that sing, and the trees that praise, and all of nature modeling to me the shouting of worship to Him who gave.
Grateful to God for His mercy and grace He has lavished on this wretched-messed-up-sinful heart. Grateful of His initiation of my rescue and His unending lovingkindness toward me each and every moment. Grateful for the wisdom that He freely gives to this heart that longs for more.
And so very grateful for Ann…for being the conduit used by Him to shift this heart’s perspective toward Him and ALL He gives. Grateful for a life-change toward gratitude. For the challenge that comes in counting gifts, in searching daily for them, for writing them down, claiming them as my worship. Grateful this day to be pointed toward seeing Him in ALL things and to have the breath to offer profound thanks to Him.
STOP!
Psalm 109:30 With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to the LORD;
And in the midst of many I will praise Him. Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 50:23 He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.”
I’m so very grateful for each of you…may your day be full of gratefulness!
“…shouting worship.”
so well said! isn’t “grateful” so much more than just a thank you? it is more of an indebtedness, and yet knowing how undeserving I am.
indeed, breath for profound thanks.
bleessings today!
“Counting gifts and claiming them as worship”! Incredible!
Thank you.
