To catch the glimmer in their eyes fills this mama-heart right up. As they play, and laugh, and sing and learn…as they twirl and dance and show me their best work. I catch the glimmer, and their smiles melt me..
And I close my eyes, and wish for the moments never to pass. How great is my love for them, a love I could have never imagined and that so deeply satisfies.
And then…to catch his eyes looking at me in that “she’s mine” kind of way…
…kindles the passion that always simmers and heats, as he works, and provides, and protects…and leads and guides and directs.
And I am secure and safe in the “you’re-still the-one” love we share, and I am so profoundly thankful and blessed!
And finally…to catch a glimpse of His great love for me…just plain overwhelms.
He, the Creator of ALL things, longs to meet me each day. And He listens to my rambling on in our conversations, and speaks life to my heart through His Word. And He intimately cares about the smallest little desires of my heart…and He delights to give them to me…to give them through circumstances in which I would know they could only be from Him!
And I have caught a glimpse of this so tangibly this week, as HE orchestrated a way for me to attend an amazing conference where I will meet women who passionately love Him too…from a ticket, to a flight where I’m not flying alone, to hotel roomates…all last-minute!!
…and I am overwhelmed at how it is that He loves me!!
May we ourselves love one another, and catch, this day, the glimmers of love ALL around us, is my prayer.
I’m joining Lisa-Jo, over at her site today, to just write five minutes, without worrying if it’s just right or not, with the prompt she gives. And today, her prompt: Catch…

Hi Jacque,
Your post was gorgeous – your kids, and your heart full of His love. Like you, I am very grateful that God listens to my ramblings…I think He understands that I am a verbal processor.
So happy to hear how God has provided for you and that you can enjoy His delight in you. What a gift! May you have a blessed time!
