I am ordinary…
I am a daughter,
a wife,
a mother,
a friend…
An encourager,
a cheerleader,
a cleaner,
a chauffeur,
a writer,
…and a dreamer among other things.
- I have little to credit to my name
- I have not written a book
- I have not spoken to thousands
- And hardly anyone knows my name
I live a full but simple life, working and teaching and caring for others…serving and learning and loving as best I can in my daily ordinary moments. And although I have no acclaim in the eyes of men, and am truly and simply just plain ordinary…
I do know something…
God has found me to be extraordinary, in spite of my messy ordinary-ness.
He knew me in my tiniest form in the darkness of my beginnings. He has loved me from the beginning of time and has planned extraordinary good works for me to do, even before I breathed my very first breath of air on this earth.
And he also knew every choice I would make in this life…my ordinary choices that would honor Him, and my extra-ordinary poor choices that would grieve His heart.
And amidst it all, He, out of His great love for me, made a way for me to become extraordinarily connected to Him.
And I am loved and cherished by a God who thinks I am, indeed, not simply ordinary, but extraordinary…and I am so very thankful.
May you know how extraordinary you are this day, all because of Him!
In what circumstance has God’s truth transformed you from feeling ordinary to extraordinary?
I’m joining Lisa-Jo, over at her site today, to just write five minutes, without worrying if it’s just right or not, with the prompt she gives. And today, her prompt: Ordinary…

just beautiful…I love it…”And amidst it all, He, out of His great love for me, made a way for me to become extraordinarily connected to Him….”
This word got me thinking today…this is right along where the Lord took me…thanks for the encouragement…
Blessings~
