I have the incredible privilege of witnessing birth. And birth is hard. It is uncomfortable and painful, and labor just plain hurts, especially without that epidural! But the joy at a delivery is palpable. And what emerges from all that work, is life–new life with potential, hope, and new beginnings, all wrapped up in smooth pink skin. That new baby a representation of the hope and beauty in us all. And each and every time, it is a surreal moment–worth the pain and toil of the process.
And I’m so excited to share with you something new that is being birthed today. It is a new site called Sisters in Bloom, a community of women, setting out to encourage the hearts of other women.
And it’s launching today, with posts beginning February 1st…

I am so blessed to be joining 32 other Christian writers, who are coming together as Sisters in Bloom! All of us purposing to encourage you in your journey of faith each day, as a woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and follower of Christ. Women coming along side you to inspire you and cheer you on!
We all need encouragement on this life-journey, and Sisters in Bloom is a gathering of women on a mission to encourage the hearts of other women–growing together, connecting hearts, and creating community, all for God’s glory.
We think women need other women.
And we’d love to journey with you.
Join us at Sisters in Bloom today! Won’t you come and bloom with us?
You can follow Sisters in Bloom on Facebook or Twitter too.
I am praying for you and really hoping you can join us!
Let’s bloom together!

Congratulations! How wonderfully exciting. 🙂 I believe there is distinct joy in heaven when we unite together as the Body and carry out the message and life of Christ in our daily lives. When we live as representations of Him – loving one another as He first loved us…this is celebration and worship.

Loved this, Jacque!! And the analogy you used about birth…so perfect and so true. Sometimes the best of things are those that come through the most pain. So blessed to call you my sister 🙂
