The day my gown glides across the carpet, I believe I’ll be married forever.
But reality turns out so much differently than I’d planned. In so many ways.
Bad ways.
And very good ways. Good ways only because of Him.
But in those years amidst the guilt and shame, my heart longed for freedom.
The freedom to be known and accepted.
And to be valued for who I really am.
Failure and all.
Maybe you’ve felt that way too.
Spun by your situation and fighting to be free.
Freedom comes when we reveal the truth. [Tweet that]
And the power of our sin is broken when we expose our darkness to the light.
It’s power is broken when we get honest with ourselves and others, and let God do the work of redemption and restoration only He can do.
Today I’m sharing over at Unveiled Wife, my friend Jennifer’s blog. I’m blessed to know her in real life, to attend church with her, and to call her friend, and I’d love you to stop by!
I’m sharing words for freedom-hungry hearts who long for honesty and truth to set them free.
Join me there, won’t you?
